There are 2 bedrooms, one with a wonderful super-kingsized bed, the other with twin beds, an open plan kitchen/living area and a shower room. There is also a large utility/storage area downstairs.

 

Sauveterre de Rouergue is a magnicent 13th century royal bastide, built around the village square with its arcades and half-timbered merchants' houses. There is a bar, restaurant, boulangerie/patisserie, tourist information and a few other shops in the village centre.

 

The Apartment, which was totally renovated and refurbished in 2008, is situated in the village centre, just a minute's walk from the bar, restuarant and shops.

Our Aunt, Rosalind, lives in the Apartment below and, having lived in the village for many years (and speaking perfect French!), she will be able to offer you much advice and information about the local area.

 

We have tried to retain the original character of the Apartment, whilst furnishing it in a modern, contemporary style - giving you the best of both worlds!

 

The main bedroom has a super-kingsized bed, while the second bedroom has twin beds. The living room still has the wonderful original oak flooring - gloriously uneven and full of character! There are 2 settees, so plenty of room for 4 people to relax and there is a widescreen digital TV that can pick up English TV as well as French. On chilly evenings, light up the woodburner and just relax with a glass of the best French wine...

 

The new oak kitchen is compact, but provides everything you need to be able to enjoy your holiday, including an electric oven, hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and toaster. The table can be extended if you need more room and there are 4 chairs.

 

The shower room has an enclosed shower, toilet, basin and a heated towel rail.

 

The apartment has electric radiators in every room that have individual thermostatic controls - so you are in full control of the heating, and there is plenty of hot water for showers!

 

It is an ideal base for exploring this wonderful area of France that has retained so much of its charm and history.
